Society for Reproduction and Fertility sign membership agreement with Portland Customer Services
The inaugural meeting of the original Society for the Study of Fertility was held on 16th June 1950 in the rooms of the Zoological Society of London. Since that time the Society has grown steadily and its annual conference is recognised as providing a most valuable opportunity for the exchange of information and ideas between biologists, clinicians and veterinarians.
Paul Fowler, Chair of Council, said, "In its 60th year SRF is pleased to appoint Portland Customer Services who are able to provide a high level of services to our members and a thorough understanding of the requirements of a specialist scientific society."
Managing Director of Portland Press, Rhonda Oliver said, "We are delighted the SRF have chosen Portland Customer Services to provide their Association Management needs. Our ability to provide high-level membership services has been key to our success in growing this area of our business. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Biochemical Society we have a unique insight into the needs of membership based organizations."
SRF is one of three organizations who have chosen PCS to provide Association Management services in 2009. Portland Customer Services is the fulfilment and distribution arm of Portland Press Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Biochemical Society. Portland Press Ltd celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2009.
In addition to Association Management services, PCS also provides journal subscription and book order processing, online journal hosting and conference organization on behalf of academic societies and publishers in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors.
