Essays in Biochemistry

This well-established series was successfully re-launched by Portland Press in 1991 with a new format and a new direction, returning Essays to its original concept of a book for advanced undergraduates, graduate students and their teachers.

Essays in Biochemistry provides undergraduates and first year postgraduates with a single source of information on the latest research in rapidly moving areas of biochemistry and molecular biology. Particular attention is given to topics which perhaps because of recent developments are poorly covered by standard texts.

Each chapter is written by an expert on the area of research and is a self-contained summary of the state-of-the-art of that topic.

Essays in Biochemistry is published in a new format which makes extensive use of illustrations, diagrams and tables, which enhances its accessibility. This highly readable volume will also serve as a valuable teaching aid to lecturers in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Contents:

  • Contact sites and transport in mitochondria P N Moynagh
